Cold Winter for McCoy

We went  to several auctions this week that had plenty of nice pottery, but not one single piece of vintage McCoy pottery. It was almost spooky. Lots of Rookwood and Roseville, and even a piece of Cowan which is almost impossible to find.

We did an online search of auctions for next week within 300 miles and still turned up almost nothing besides a chipped pitcher and a cracked McCoy vase. At least our online store has plenty, but unless the drought ends soon we will start to get depleted. Maybe it is all hiding and it will come out in the spring!

In the meantime, take a look at this classic clown bank we got a few months ago!

Introduction

Hello fellow McCoy Pottery fans!

My name is Renee and I can't seem to stay away from auctions when they have McCoy pottery for bid. I am creating this blog to chronicle my adventures (and misadventures!) running to auctions all over the northeast in search of vintage McCoy pottery.  I look forward to posting up lots of pictures, and letting you know where I find the deals. I will also try and post updates on upcoming auctions I find that may be interesting.

Much of the McCoy pottery I find will be up for sale at The Kings Fortune, so stop by and check us out!
